Migration

Sail has upgraded from ERC-4337 accounts to ERC-7702 smart accounts. This migration unlocks fully autonomous, non-custodial swaps and bridges, making your agent faster, more flexible, and safer.

Your existing balance is automatically moved over during the process—there’s no need to manually transfer funds.

Why migrate?

• Autonomy unlocked: 7702 enables your agent to swap and bridge across chains without custody or clunky workarounds.

• Seamless continuity: your money moves automatically from your 4337 account into the new 7702 account.

• Future-ready: new features, networks, and stablecoins will only be available through 7702.

Migration steps

1. Start Upgrade From the welcome screen, click Upgrade now.

2. Log In with your current account Log in with your existing sign-in method to confirm ownership of your current Sail account.

3. Upgrade by doing Log In again Choose your preferred sign-in (wallet, social login, email, etc.). It can be the same as your previous method.

4. Approve on both Confirm by signing a message to prove ownership and authorize the upgrade.

1. Automatic fund transfer Your stablecoins are moved from your old 4337 account into your new 7702 account without requiring any action from you.

2. Create your agent Just like the regular setup, Sail will now create your personalized agent. You’ll be prompted to sign the session keys that define its permissions.

3. Launch automation Click Launch Automation to start the process of agent creation and session key signing.

4. Session key signing

   Wait until your agent is created and all session keys are signed. Your agent will begin working immediately after.

Having problems completing your migration?

If something doesn’t work smoothly, there are a few different ways to finish the migration:

1. Standard Upgrade (recommended)

   • This is the process described above.

   • Go to sail.money and click Upgrade from the sign-in page.

   • Log in, sign with your chosen method, and your funds will automatically move from your V1 (ERC-4337) account to your new V2 (ERC-7702) account.

2. Create a New Sail Account

   • If the upgrade flow doesn’t work, you can directly sign up for a Sail account with any login method.

   • This will generate a fresh V2 smart account.

   • Then, visit fungi.ag and withdraw your balance from your old Fungi account into your new Sail account address.

3. Advanced Wallet Management

   • As a fallback, you can always recover funds manually via the wallet management pages:

     • V1 Wallet (ERC-4337): sail.money/manage-wallet/4337

     • V2 Wallet (ERC-7702): sail.money/manage-wallet/7702

   • This method always works, but the interface is more advanced.
